Boston Scientific Volunteers Clean Up Along the Neponset Estuary
June 2025 — Volunteer staff from Boston Scientific recently rolled up their sleeves to clean trash and debris from the Quincy Riverwalk, the scenic path that circles their office campus.
Nearly 40 dedicated volunteers worked throughout the day in staggered shifts along the path and rocky riverfront, where the Neponset River flows into Dorchester Bay, collecting litter, removing debris, and helping keep the river and surrounding area safe and enjoyable for the community.
This cleanup is part of Boston Scientific’s ongoing commitment to giving back. Staff contribute volunteer hours annually through their participation in our Corporate Volunteer Program, demonstrating the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and protecting local waterways.
Their efforts not only improve the River and trails for everyone but also highlight the power of corporate volunteerism in supporting a healthier, cleaner environment.

Quincy RiverWalk
The Quincy RiverWalk is a 2-mile-long public walkway along the Neponset River that officially opened on Sept. 30, 2014.
It starts at the Adams Inn Gazebo and stretches all the way down to Squantum Point, where the Neponset River flows into Dorchester Bay.
NepRWA and other Greenway advocates worked together for more than 10 years to create this public trail along the Quincy shore of the Neponset River.
