Guest Speaker
Lisa Holden, Program Director of the X-Cel Conservation Corps of Boston, will share how their program prepares Boston youth for careers in water management and conservation, along with success stories from their ongoing partnership with NepRWA.
X-cel breaks the cycle of poverty by preparing Boston youth for careers in water management and conservation that lead to economic self-sufficiency. Key components of the X-Cel Conservation Corps include workforce readiness development, paid conservation projects to improve water quality and build environmental resilience in Eastern MA, classes to prepare for wastewater operator licenses, and paid internships in the water management field.
