Your Guides

Eldad Ganin – An experienced birder since 2006, Eldad has recorded sightings across Massachusetts and beyond using eBird. A regular participant in Mass Audubon walks, he brings a wealth of knowledge about resident and migratory birds in the region and loves sharing his expertise with fellow nature enthusiasts.

Al Mollitor – A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Al grew up exploring the forests of Long Island before it became suburbanized. He studied forest biology and soils in college, and though his forestry career ended in the mid-80s, he remains an avid hiker, casual birdwatcher, tree identifier, and creator of bird nesting boxes. Al enjoys hiking trails throughout the Neponset River Watershed and maintaining his own small woodlot in north-central Massachusetts.

Pete DiPasca – A licensed professional engineer with over 40 years of experience in environmental management, Pete has worked for a variety of manufacturing companies, including several years as the Environmental & Sustainability Manager for the company that currently owns Crackrock Pond & Dam. Pete will provide a brief history of the property and discuss the environmental challenges associated with the pond and dam.
