Thank You for Joining Us at the 2025 Annual Meeting!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on June 10 at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood for our Annual Meeting. It was a wonderful evening spent reconnecting with members, volunteers, and partners to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together over the past year.
Guest Speaker, Dr. Atyia Martin
We were pleased to welcome Dr. Atyia Martin as our featured speaker. She shared reflections on how resilience, equity, and climate justice intersect at the local level—highlighting the importance of community voice in decision-making.
Dr. Martin brings experience from her work leading resilience efforts in Boston and other cities, including serving as the city’s first Chief Resilience Officer and developing Resilient Boston, a strategy that connected racial equity with climate resilience.
Honoring Martin Pillsbury
This year, we were especially proud to recognize Martin Pillsbury, Director of Environmental Planning at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), with a special award for his longtime partnership and leadership.
Martin played a pivotal role in launching the Neponset Stormwater Partnership, and continues to support regional climate adaptation through the Resilient Neponset Climate Collaborative.
We wrapped up the evening with the much-anticipated kayak raffle—congratulations to Cathy S. of Canton, this year’s winner! We hope you enjoy many relaxing hours out on the water, Cathy!
Thank you again to everyone who participated—whether you attended, entered the raffle, or continue to support our mission. We’re grateful to be part of such a dedicated and caring community.
Board Elections and Updates
The meeting also included the election of officers and directors to the NepRWA Board, with several new members joining and leadership transitions taking place.

- Vice President: Heather Audet
- Secretary: Julianne S. Belcher
Continuing Officer (term ending 2026):
- Treasurer: Stephen Brayton
We also expressed our appreciation to Susan Olson Drisko, who is retiring from the Board, and to Kyle McBurney, Jennie Goossen, and Heather Audet, who stepped down from their officer roles but will continue to serve as Board members.
