Announcing New Estuary Grant!

November 30, 2023–

We’re excited to announce that NepRWA’s application to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation was approved!

The grant will allow our partners at Woods Hole Group and SCAPE Landscape Architects to develop detailed flooding and salt marsh migration modeling in the Estuary. Additionally, it will initiate the design of a plan to ensure the continued thriving of our sensitive marshes even as sea levels rise, and quantify how healthy marshes help protect neighborhoods along the river from increased flooding.

NepRWA is excited to be a part of this important project, along with our other partners at the Trustees of Reservations and Dr. Paul Kirshen of UMass Boston.
